A long line and a cross collar give the Sunday Best Dress its sense of occasion. The collar frames the face above a line of small shell buttons, a considered detail in a cloth with plenty of character of its own.

We make it in Flyboy, a washed Lismore twill Irish linen from Ulster Weavers. The washing brings softness from the first wear, while the twill gives the surface its texture and depth.

Wear it simply, with flat shoes and the collar in view, or beneath the Inheritance Coat. The sort of dress you can keep for a special day, then find yourself reaching for sooner.

Linen softens and grows more beautiful with age, which is one of the reasons we love it so much. We recommend either hand washing or machine washing at 30°C separately. Leave to air dry naturally, then press with a warm iron if desired. Do not tumble dry.
