Mourne Textiles tweed, woven in County Down, gives The Shawl its character. Lined in Irish linen, it falls from the shoulders in a generous, poncho-like shape, with space for the texture of the cloth to show. A tie at the top holds it in place.

It draws on our Irish Brat, reworked here into a different silhouette. The drape does much of the dressing: a broad sweep of tweed over a shirt or knit, with the linen lining beneath.

Wear it over the Off Duty Joggers for a walk, or over a dress when the day calls for something more. A new way to carry a familiar Irish tradition.

This Kindred of Ireland piece is crafted from Donegal tweed, a fabric valued for its depth, durability and enduring character. To preserve its texture, colour and structure, we recommend dry cleaning only.

Care Instructions: Dry clean only. If needed, gently blot minor spills with a clean, dry cloth, taking care not to rub the fabric. Store in a cool, dry place and use a padded hanger or fold neatly when not in use.

Our made to order pieces have a production time of 3-4 weeks.
