It is made in our Donegal tweed, woven for us in the hills of south-west Donegal, where the cloth has been made by hand for centuries and still carries the colours of the landscape it comes from. There is real weight to it, and it only softens with wearing.

The raglan sleeve is what gives the coat its drape. With no shoulder seam it falls rather than sits, and there is room beneath it for whatever you have on. The high collar fastens with a horn button and buckle for the days that need it, deep pockets sit where your hands want to be, and a back vent keeps it moving as you walk.

It will carry you from the first cool mornings of autumn through the coldest months of winter, thrown over everything, year after year.

This Kindred of Ireland piece is crafted from Donegal tweed, a fabric valued for its depth, durability and enduring character. To preserve its texture, colour and structure, we recommend dry cleaning only.

Care Instructions: Dry clean only. If needed, gently blot minor spills with a clean, dry cloth, taking care not to rub the fabric. Store in a cool, dry place and use a padded hanger or fold neatly when not in use.

Our made to order pieces have a production time of 3-4 weeks.
