    The Amy Coat was our first Donegal tweed coat, and it holds a special place in our story. Designed to mark the 30th birthday of Amy, our co-founder and Creative Director, it carries her name.

    The idea was simple: the feeling of throwing on your grandad's tweed jacket, made elegant. A double-breasted front, a boxy fit and softly structured shoulders give it that familiar weight. From behind, an oversized tweed bow hangs down the back.

    The cloth is a neutral herringbone Donegal tweed, woven in Ardara on the Atlantic edge of Ireland, and it carries the colours of the landscape it comes from. Inside, it is fully lined in Irish linen, for a soft finish and extra warmth through the winter.

    This Kindred of Ireland piece is crafted from Donegal tweed, a fabric valued for its depth, durability and enduring character. To preserve its texture, colour and structure, we recommend dry cleaning only. Care Instructions: Dry clean only. If needed, gently blot minor spills with a clean, dry cloth, taking care not to rub the fabric. Store in a cool, dry place and use a padded hanger or fold neatly when not in use.

    Our made to order pieces have a production time of 3-4 weeks.

    Ready to ship items will be shipped within 1-2 working days.

    Delivery is £6, and free on orders over £250.

    No customs charges for any of our pieces if based in the EU.

    Woven on the Atlantic edge of Ireland, by a family who have done it for six generations. The yarn is spun and dyed close to the loom, and the colours come from what surrounds it: the sea, the hills, the changing sky.

    Here, a neutral herringbone: the first tweed we ever made into a coat. Come closer and other colours surface, flecks spun into the yarn long before it meets the loom.

    Every piece is cut and sewn in Belfast by one of our sewists, who sees it through from the first cut to the last stitch.

    We keep our making close to home on purpose. Belfast was once the linen capital of the world, and the skills that built it are rare now. Making here is how we keep them alive.
