The good coat, made in Loinnir Pink: our bespoke pink Irish linen, beetled until it sparkles.

Repeated pounding with wooden blocks brings light to the surface of the cloth and gives it a crisp, sculptural character. Here, it holds the softly gathered sleeves and subtle puffball hem of the Anointed Coat. A contrasting red Irish linen lining brings another flash of colour as the coat moves. It fastens with a hook and eye at the top, with pockets and room for a jumper beneath.

Wear it over black, or with the Bow Skirt in the same pink. A coat for occasions, and for making an occasion of an ordinary day.

Crafted from Irish beetled linen, this piece draws on one of Ireland’s oldest textile traditions. The beetling process gives the fabric its distinctive structure, smoothness and sheen, preserving a rare craft still practiced in Northern Ireland today. Care Instructions Dry clean only. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and store in a cool, dry place. Use a padded hanger or fold neatly to help maintain the shape of the garment.
