    Our bespoke Loinnir Pink Irish linen, beetled until it sparkles, in the smallest finishing touch. Dad’s Tie brings the cloth’s crisp character and brilliant pink to a familiar borrowed-from-Dad detail.

    A button fastening at the centre back attaches it to Dad’s Shirt to hold it in place. It detaches for wear with other shirts, and can be tied or worn loose. The beetled finish gives the linen structure and a sparkle that catches the light beneath a collar.

    Wear it with the matching Dad’s Shirt for pink upon pink, or against the deep purple of the Temple Shirt. A little mischief, properly dressed.

    Ella is 5′8½″, usually wears a UK 8 and is wearing our one-size tie.

    Crafted from Irish beetled linen, this piece draws on one of Ireland’s oldest textile traditions. The beetling process gives the fabric its distinctive structure, smoothness and sheen, preserving a rare craft still practiced in Northern Ireland today. Care Instructions Dry clean only. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and store in a cool, dry place. Use a padded hanger or fold neatly to help maintain the shape of the garment.

    Our made to order pieces have a production time of 3-4 weeks.

    Ready to ship items will be shipped within 1-2 working days.

    Delivery is £6, and free on orders over £250.

    Loinnir means sparkle.

    Our own pink Irish linen, beetled until it catches the light.

    The pink was made for us, then taken to Upperlands, to the last beetling mill in the world. There the linen is wound on a wooden beam and struck by wooden hammers, again and again, until the weave closes and the surface begins to shine. The sparkle comes from the hammering, not from any finish.

    That crispness holds a shape away from the body and lets the light run along every fold: the gathered sleeves of the Anointed Coat, the double layers of the Bow Skirt, the long line of Dad’s Shirt. It is the signature pink of Kept for Good.

    We keep our making close to home on purpose. Belfast was once the linen capital of the world, and the skills that built it are rare now. Making here is how we keep them alive.
