Black Irish linen, transformed by beetling into something with a deep sheen and a sculptural presence. William Clark & Sons in Upperlands finish the cloth using the traditional process of pounding it with wooden blocks, giving the Bow Skirt its distinctive structure.

The bow gives the skirt its playful centrepiece, with light catching across the folds of the deep black linen. The crisp finish brings shape and presence to the cloth, with an elasticated back waistband for ease and pockets tucked into the skirt.

Wear it with the Bridget Blouse for texture upon texture in black, or with the soft ivory linen of the Choir Practice Shirt.

Crafted from Irish beetled linen, this piece draws on one of Ireland’s oldest textile traditions. The beetling process gives the fabric its distinctive structure, smoothness and sheen, preserving a rare craft still practiced in Northern Ireland today. Care Instructions Dry clean only. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and store in a cool, dry place. Use a padded hanger or fold neatly to help maintain the shape of the garment.
