The barrel leg has become one of the shapes we return to most. Full and generous through the thigh, curving in softly at the ankle, it sits somewhere between a trouser and a sculpture. Easy to wear, but never plain.

For Pre-Fall it arrives in Sunday Stripe, a fine black and ecru ticking woven in Irish linen. There is something borrowed and slightly masculine about the stripe, which is exactly why it works against a softer top.

An elasticated waist keeps them comfortable from morning to evening. Wear them with the matching Tillie Top for a full look, or with a simple white shirt and trainers.

Linen softens and grows more beautiful with age, which is one of the reasons we love it so much.

We recommend either hand washing or machine washing at 30°C separately. Leave to air dry naturally, then press with a warm iron if desired. Do not tumble dry.
