A heritage piece reimagined.

Inspired by the traditional brat (pronounced brawt), it was a traditional Irish cloak, traditional Irish cloak, worn by both men and women as a versatile outer layer. It provided warmth, shelter and protection—serving as a blanket by night, a shawl by day, and even as covering on long, slow journeys across the isalnd. Deeply tied to heritage, the brat was a treasured piece, often passed down through generations.

We’ve reimagined this timeless garment for our SS25 collection, crafting it in tumbled lime Irish linen, our short version is designed to move you effortless from day to dinner.

The Irish Brat is a loose-fitting jacket with an oversized wrap scarf, intended to be worn and styled to your preference—layered, draped, knotted or thrown over the shoulders. It offers a comforting, cocoon-like silhouette, rooted in tradition yet made utterly modern. An effortless statement piece.

Complete the look with the matching Parachute Skirt.

The model is 5’8 and UK 8.

When taken care of correctly, your linen piece can actually get better with age - It is one of many things that makes it such a sustainable fabric!

Washing Instructions:  Hand wash or machine wash at 30 degrees Celsius, alone or with similar colours. Air dry and follow with a warm iron if preferred. Never tumble dry.

General Care Tips:

Avoid Overexposure to Sunlight:  Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause linen to fade over time. Store your linen garments away from direct sunlight when not in use.

Gentle Handling:  Linen is a delicate fabric. When washing or drying, handle with care to avoid stretching or damaging the fibres.

Storage:  Store your linen clothing in a cool, dry place. Avoid hanging on sharp hooks to prevent snagging; instead, use padded hangers or fold neatly to maintain shape.
