Royal Visit to Mallon Linen

Welcoming The Prince and Princess of Wales to Northern Ireland.

We had the honour of welcoming The Prince and Princess of Wales to Northern Ireland - a visit that focused on their deep interest of the work being done to preserve craft, heritage and a rebuild a fully local linen supply chain.

Standing in a small workshop surrounded by our community of local craftspeople, we spoke about the heart of what we do: protecting traditional Irish skills, rebuilding local production, and working to keep the entire of linen in Ireland. The visit took place at Mallon Linen, an incredible pioneering flax farm that is leading the revival of native growing and processing in Ireland.

For us, the visit felt like recognition of our community of makers, mills and craftspeople across Ireland who are quietly rebuilding an industry with care and integrity. Their Royal Highnesses listened with genuine curiosity and support, and we left the day reminded that heritage work does have resonance in the real world.
