Following the popularity of our Tweed Jacket in navy, we are excited to offer it to you in Brown tweed, with tumbled black linen lining and signature bow. The bow is detachable, so you can wear it with or without.

This piece is a celebration of Irish heritage and timeless style. With its refined structure and modern silhouette, this jacket offers a perfect blend of tradition and sophistication. Our Kindred take on the traditional tweed jacket. The rich brown tones are intricately woven to reveal the classic flecked pattern unique to Donegal, giving each piece an individual character.

This Kindred of Ireland piece is crafted from Donegal tweed, a fabric valued for its depth, durability and enduring character. To preserve its texture, colour and structure, we recommend dry cleaning only.

Care Instructions: Dry clean only. If needed, gently blot minor spills with a clean, dry cloth, taking care not to rub the fabric. Store in a cool, dry place and use a padded hanger or fold neatly when not in use.

Our made to order pieces have a production time of 3-4 weeks.

Ready to ship items will be shipped within 1-2 working days.

Delivery is £6, and free on orders over £250.

The designer A man’s jacket, her way

Our Creative Director, Amy, designed the Tweed Jacket for our first Donegal tweed collection, launched for her thirtieth birthday. Kindred had grown up alongside her, and she wanted a cloth with more weight to it. She found it in Donegal.

Tweed had always been cut for men: boxy, serious, built to last. Amy wanted to reimagine that jacket for today without losing what made it good. She kept the double-breasted shape, then added a bow at the back that only shows as you walk away. Masculine from the front, feminine from behind.

It began as a small experiment, and became our best-loved tweed.

Woven on the Atlantic edge of Ireland, by a family who have done it for six generations. The yarn is spun and dyed close to the loom, and the colours come from what surrounds it: the sea, the hills, the changing sky.

Here, a rich brown, where the flecks show most: colours spun into the yarn long before it ever meets the loom.

We keep our making close to home on purpose. Belfast was once the linen capital of the world, and the skills that built it are rare now. Making here is how we keep them alive.
