Following the love for our signature tweed jacket, we are delighted to introduce this season’s new colourway — a playful mix of heritage and romance. Crafted from rich burgundy Donegal tweed woven in Ardara, its flecked weave carries the story of Irish craftsmanship in every thread. Lined in our soft Kindred pink tumbled linen and finished with our signature oversized bow detail at the back, it is a piece that blends strength with a touch of whimsy.

This jacket’s refined double-breasted silhouette, softly structured shoulders and gentle flare make it as suited to countryside weekends as to city evenings. The pink bow at the back offers an unexpected flourish, inviting a second glance and making this jacket a true statement piece of The Quiet Kingdom. The bow is detachable, so you can wear it with or without.

This Kindred of Ireland piece is crafted from Donegal tweed, a fabric valued for its depth, durability and enduring character. To preserve its texture, colour and structure, we recommend dry cleaning only. Care Instructions: Dry clean only. If needed, gently blot minor spills with a clean, dry cloth, taking care not to rub the fabric. Store in a cool, dry place and use a padded hanger or fold neatly when not in use.

Our made to order pieces have a production time of 3-4 weeks.

Ready to ship items will be shipped within 1-2 working days.

The designer A man’s jacket, her way

Our Creative Director, Amy, designed the Tweed Jacket for our first Donegal tweed collection, launched for her thirtieth birthday. Kindred had grown up alongside her, and she wanted a cloth with more weight to it. She found it in Donegal.

Tweed had always been cut for men: boxy, serious, built to last. Amy wanted to reimagine that jacket for today without losing what made it good. She kept the double-breasted shape, then added a bow at the back that only shows as you walk away. Masculine from the front, feminine from behind.

It began as a small experiment, and became our best-loved tweed.

Woven on the Atlantic edge of Ireland, by a family who have done it for six generations. The yarn is spun and dyed close to the loom, and the colours come from what surrounds it: the sea, the hills, the changing sky.

We keep our making close to home on purpose. Belfast was once the linen capital of the world, and the skills that built it are rare now. Making here is how we keep them alive.
