Inspired by the traditional brat (pronounced brawt), it was a traditional Irish cloak, worn by both men and women as a versatile outer layer. It provided warmth, shelter and protection—serving as a blanket by night, a shawl by day, and even as covering on long, slow journeys across the island. Deeply tied to heritage, the brat was a treasured piece, often passed down through generations.

The model is 5’8 and UK 8.

We’ve reimagined this timeless garment for our SS25 collection, crafted in a charcoal and forest green two/tone, meaning it is designed to be reversible, offering two colour-ways in one. The loose, fluid silhouette features an enveloping jacket shape paired with an oversized wrap scarf that can be styled in countless ways. With a grounding sense of calm and a cocoon-like feel, it’s the ideal piece to accompany you from beach to bistro.

Due to our made-to-order model, all pieces can be adjusted slightly if requested.

Linen softens and grows more beautiful with age, which is one of the reasons we love it so much. We recommend either hand washing or machine washing at 30°C separately. Leave to air dry naturally, then press with a warm iron if desired. Do not tumble dry.
