    The 'Find The Gold' Coat.

    Our forever Hero Piece. Created with custom gold dry beetled linen from Upperlands. This fabric is a one off and tells a story of a modern spin on an age old tradition.

    The coat is cut in an oversized, slightly curved shape to give it the structure this fabric asks for. A statement that can be worn effortlessly.

    (Please note, we have designed this fabric so that you can see the raw linen texture coming through in certain areas- each coat will have its own unique variation and will differ slightly from the images above)

    Crafted from Irish beetled linen, this piece draws on one of Ireland’s oldest textile traditions. The beetling process gives the fabric its distinctive structure, smoothness and sheen, preserving a rare craft still practiced in Northern Ireland today.

    Care Instructions Dry clean only. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and store in a cool, dry place. Use a padded hanger or fold neatly to help maintain the shape of the garment.

    Our made to order pieces have a production time of 3-4 weeks.

    Ready to ship items will be shipped within 1-2 working days.

    Delivery is £6, and free on orders over £250.

    Beetled linen.
    Struck until it shines.

    Linen, wound on a wooden beam and beaten under wooden hammers until the weave closes and a quiet sheen comes up.

    It is done at Upperlands, in the last beetling mill in the world, on engines well over a century old. The sheen comes from the hammering, not from any finish.

    It gives the cloth a crispness ordinary linen does not have, and lets it hold a shape.

    Every piece is cut and sewn in Belfast by one of our sewists, who sees it through from the first cut to the last stitch.

    We keep our making close to home on purpose. Belfast was once the linen capital of the world, and the skills that built it are rare now. Making here is how we keep them alive.
