CLOUD COAT
CLOUD COAT
The structured silhouette of our AW Cloud coat is inspired by something we are famous for in Ireland - cloudy skies.
Created with Irish Beetled linen. This ancient technique sees the fabric repeatedly beaten with wooden blocks for hours on end. This process gives the linen a distinctive sheen with greater structure and water resistance than ordinary Irish linen.
Our Cloud coat is quilted for extra warmth through the colder months. The coat features a fun, asymmetric structure and can be dressed up or down to pull any look together. The sleeves can be tied at the wrist or left to hang loose. The inside of the collar features vintage houndstooth Irish linen which was created with flax grown in Ireland and spun in Tandragee. This coat is a modern take on age old traditions and techniques Ireland is most proud of, a really special investment piece that is made with the intention of being passed down.

Care
Care
This Kindred of Ireland piece is made with Irish Beetled linen. Beetling is a unique process which dates back to the 1700's. The labour intensive process, whereby the linen is dampened and pounded with wooden blocks for hours on end, is carried out in Co. Derry - the last beetlers in the world! The garment is incredibly special and unique to Ireland, carrying a story of ancient craft and tradition.
Due to the delicate nature of the fabric, we recommend dry cleaning only to preserve the look and integrity of the fabric.
