It provided warmth, shelter and protection—serving as a blanket by night, a shawl by day, and even as covering on long, slow journeys across the island. Deeply tied to heritage, the brat was a treasured piece, often passed down through generations.

We’ve reimagined this timeless garment for our SS25 collection, crafting it in tumbled lime Irish linen, our short version is designed to move you effortless from day to dinner.

The Irish Brat is a loose-fitting jacket with an oversized wrap scarf, intended to be worn and styled to your preference—layered, draped, knotted or thrown over the shoulders. Due to our made-to-order model, all pieces can be adjusted slightly if requested.

Linen softens and grows more beautiful with age, which is one of the reasons we love it so much. We recommend either hand washing or machine washing at 30°C separately. Leave to air dry naturally, then press with a warm iron if desired. Do not tumble dry.

Our made to order pieces have a production time of 3-4 weeks.
